What happened after the Bruins hoisted the CUP in Game seven outside the city of Vancouver is a travesty! Vancouver was on top of the Sports world after hosting the Olympics, and the Canadian hockey team winning Gold. I have received several messages from members of the Nation that were at Game 7, stating that it was worse than the media has portrayed it to be. Tom Frost was one of the first to check in, and say it was mostly a hand full of knuckleheads who did 90% of the damage. The rest of the fans were standing around watching, like an awful train wreck had just occurred. Let me count the ways and differences between both teams and cities: Game TWO-Vancouver fans Booing our anthem, this would never happen in Boston. The Canucks Themselves played as dirty as I have seen a team play in the modern era ( and paid the price by losing Danhuis, Rome, & Raymond ) Vancouver's true colors really showed through when Bettman was trying to speak to the crowd and say the words every Boston fan has waited 39 years to hear, Congratulation to the Stanley Cup Champion Bruins! Thanks to the Canuck fans, all you could hear were boos from the crowd while throwing full cups of Beer at Chara as he hoisted the CUP. An awful display of sportsmanship, and our children look to these types of incidents, and learn from the example their heroes set. The Entire City of Vancouver, and the Canucks Franchise should not only be ashamed of themselves, but also owe an apology to all of North America. I am so proud of our boys, and our city. I was there on Causeway Street after we won Game 7, and it to say it was a blast is an understatement. There were two arrests total Total in front of the Garden, for drunken disorderly. There are more arrests on a Friday night in any Suburb of Boston, then what took place last night in front of the Garden. On " NHL on The Fly" They broadcasted the Chief of Police's statement stating he was going to everything top bring these people to justice. The damage has already been done, however I contacted the Vancouver Police and said I would post as many photos that I came across to help bring these criminals to justice! They have arrested over 100 people so far, and expect to arrest another 100 at least in Vancouver. How do you spell Embarrassment in french? I have never been prouder being from Boston in my entire life, than I am as i write this article. This is now Titletown USA, and we have more class in our thumb, than the entire province of British Columbia. This is just your president of BBN's opinion, but the people in the end who were really effected in a negative way in Vancouver, were the children. In Boston, we showed our children and future die hard Bruins Fans, the true definition of determination and sportsmanship! Congratulations boys, you have not just won the CUP, you have won the hearts and minds of children all across New England! You have given them inspiration and inspired all of us in one way or another. For that I think all of us at Boston Bruins Nation would like to say : Thank you!
